Drummer, composer and teacher. Started music at the age of 5 by playing classical piano and later on switched into drums. Holding a Master’s degree in jazz (Master of the Arts) and has specialised in South Indian Karnatic rhythmic techniques in the Conservatory of Amsterdam. Has studied with Rafael Reina Camara, Martijn Vink, Lucas van Merwijk, Marcel Serierse, Bart Fermie, John Riley, Francesco Ciniglio, Luca Santaniello, Mark Schilders and many more.
‘Although my main focus is in jazz, free improv and contemporary music, I have a versatile background and experience playing in soul, funk, hiphop, R&B, pop and rock groups.’
